Directly invested by Hong Kong-based Chow Tai Fook Group at a cost of over 10 billion RMB, Guangzhou East Tower integrates multiple functions, including a luxury five-star hotel, catering facilities, serviced apartments, Grade A office buildings and underground shopping malls.
At the topping-out ceremony, Cheng Kar-shun, Chairman of the Group, stated that the tower’s height of 530 meters was not intended to compete with the West Tower, but determined based on investment efficiency and other practical considerations.
“Generally, the higher the floor, the superior the scenery, and the greater the appeal to tenants,” he remarked.
